Dragon ball super review 2023
Hey guys welcome today we are going to talk about dragon ball super .
Dragon Ball Super is the successor to the iconic Dragon Ball Z anime series that rekindles fans' love for the Dragon Ball universe with its thrilling battles, a greater focus on lore and interesting new characters. However, it doesn't come without flaws.
The story begins a few years after the defeat of Majin Buu, once again featuring Goku and his comrades who face off against a multitude of threats like God of Destruction Beerus, Universe 6, Zamasu and the Tournament of Power.
The show does a remarkable job introducing compelling new characters and universes, further expanding the Dragon Ball world. The addition of Beerus, Whis, and other universe characters is refreshing and offers a different vibe than the traditional 'Saiyan and earth-centric' villains. Goku's newfound forms, particularly the Ultra Instinct, are highlights that left viewers in awe.
But the show also gets muddled up in trying to live up to its predecessor. There are instances where power scaling feels inconsistent and the power-ups feel more like an easy out. The pacing of the show also seems off at times. While it isn't unusual for Dragon Ball to stretch its battles across multiple episodes, Dragon Ball Super occasionally does this even in trivial scenarios which could be off-putting to some viewers.
Moreover, the animation quality is hit-or-miss. While it improves greatly over time, the earlier episodes seem lacking and have inconsistencies that may draw you out of the viewing experience.
On the other hand, the voice acting and music score in Dragon Ball Super are excellent, and the narrative brings in the familiar mix of drama, action and humor.
To sum up, Dragon Ball Super, while it isn't perfect, is definitely an enjoyable series that takes the franchise forward with new concepts, challenges and characters. It keeps you hooked with its world-building and intense battles, even if they are marred by pacing issues and occasional poor animation. If you're a Dragon Ball fan, this is surely worth watching, and even for newcomers, it serves as a great introduction to the anime genre.
See ya in the next post.
